Àlex Pérez
Àlex Pérez is a Catalan singer, musician and producer known for collaborations with artists such as Ginestà, Miki Núñez, Mariona Escoda and Lildami. In 2024 he reaches a new milestone in his career with the release of his debut album as a solo lead, Tot el que som, under the Música Global label and managed by Diàspora Colab. The record is crafted both for dancing, singing along in the car, enjoying moments with friends, and for reflecting, valuing the little, everyday things in life.
The album features standout collaborations (including Esther, Alguer Miquel and Hala Hala) and is supported by leading Catalan musicians such as Martí Sánchez (drums), Miki Santamaría (bass), Joan Palà and Ajo Dieme (percussions). Tot el que som is built around four thematic pillars: fire (emotions and inner passion), time (past, present, future), hands (community, sharing, support) and vision (inner introspection and looking outward at the world around us). The album’s launch tour has already passed through major Catalan festivals including Festival Vallviva (supporting La Oreja de Van Gogh), Espurnes and Àuria; it has played at prominent local festivities such as Vidreres, Sant Pere de Vilamajor and Castellfollit de la Roca; and it even performed at La Mercè on the Europa FM stage.
This past March saw the release of their second album, “ARA”, a tribute to presence: slowing down, listening to ourselves, and living in alignment with who we are. An album that does not aim to preach or offer definitive answers, but rather to accompany the listener through whatever stage of life they may be going through. Like any process, it is a cyclical album, with no clear beginning or end, no fixed direction—only the pleasure of moving forward.
The work features collaborations with Ginestà, Miki Núñez, and Eva Sola. Some of the tracks have been released as singles in recent months, receiving airplay on the country’s main radio stations and connecting with audiences both on social media and digital platforms, as a preview of what now takes full shape.
The album’s release will be accompanied by a full-band tour, kicking off on April 25 at the Festival Recòndit and continuing through town squares and cities, bringing the universe of ARA to the live stage.
